Performance

Next month, the NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) will begin opening the doors to journalists in Detroit to show the new vehicle design, latest technology, and whatever the automakers think will captivate the media.

Lexus has a couple of models to reveal, one most notably being the debut of a new Lexus concept car that appears to follow along with the pursuit of performance, and perfection.

Although the glimpse is just a teaser, if the concept car is along the same lines of the latest Lexus models, there will be much to admire next month in Detroit.

The Lexus LX will be showing of it’s new design as well. Here’s what Autoblog had to say:

Don’t expect a major overhaul, however. Bill Kwong, Lexus Communications Specialist, tells Autoblog that the changes to the LX will mostly be cosmetic, consisting of slightly updated sheetmetal as well as changes to both the front and rear fascias. We expect the interior to carry over largely unchanged (perhaps some infotainment upgrades), and the 5.7-liter V8 underhood will likely carry over, as well, though some slight massaging for the sake of fuel economy could be in order. Here’s the press release from Lexus regarding the concept car:

TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 12, 2011 – Lexus will unveil a new concept vehicle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 9, 2012. Designed by Calty, the company’s design studio in Newport Beach, Calif., the concept showcases the new design direction embraced by Lexus.

Lexus Performance Takes The Drivers Seat

This new image for Lexus, it’s focus on performance and agility, marks an exciting shift for the company.

The LF A, which hardly anyone can afford, served it’s purpose well in symbolizing this passion for performance. Then Lexus followed up with some subtle but significant changes in it’s IS models.

Why Hybrid Performance?

Lexus is beginning to lay claim that performance and hybrids not only mix, but can be done so with precision. Surely they can do so, but why. Lexus owners seem to range from the conservative and eloquent type, to a younger more professional business type. Why the need to cater more to the younger generation and why now?

Lexus can create precision and luxury, no question there. But what happens when you apply that to performance? High performance vehicles with engines built to precision specs equals a very thrilling experience.

The New Lexus

When we buy a new car we want something that looks and feels like new technology. We also want it to be the best technology, for the best price, with the best looks, and the best ride quality. This means we not only want the best, but we want to feel the best.

Lexus is creating something new by capturing all the characteristics of performance, agility and design while wrapping it up with the finest quality interiors resulting in an experience you’d have every reason to brag about.

Having the ability to feel the braking, the suspension, and all the key aspects of precision engineering will give Lexus drivers an expectation for quality and the competition something to think about.
