Toyota announced that it will resume production on the Prius, Lexus HS250h, and CT200h in Japan beginning Monday, March 28. The production was halted after the Japan Earthquake.
Here is the press release from Toyota:
TMC announced early today that it will resume Japan production Monday of Prius along with the Lexus CT 250h and HS 250h at its Tsutsumi and Toyota Motor Kyushu plants.
The vehicle assembly announcement comes one week after Toyota restarted production of replacement parts and three days after reopening plants to produce parts for overseas plants in the aftermath of a massive earthquake/tsunami that struck the country on March 11.
TMC said it is continuing to keep an “eye on progress in production while carefully assessing parts supply.”
